An exciting opportunity has arisen for a research assistant with experience in cell biology relevant to cancer research to work on projects developing new approaches to augment the efficacy of radiotherapy. Based in the tumour radiosensitisation group, the successful applicant will work closely with other group members including clinicians, postdocs and students to accurately acquire and interpret results.

You will have a BSc/MSc in radiation biology or a related science. You will also have a high level of technical competence at conducting standard cell biology procedures including siRNA transfection, FACS analysis, Western blotting, qRT-PCR and microscopy. The ability to write/contribute to factual material, reports and scientific papers is also essential, together with demonstrable ambition and drive to achieve results. A working knowledge of radiation safety procedures would be advantageous.

This is a full-time post and is fixed-term until 31 March 2017.
