Seeking a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow in Polymer Chemistry (NTU, Singapore)
The Nanyang Technological University’s School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (in Singapore) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Post-Doctoral Fellow. This position is intended for collaborative research working on plantbionics and unique sensors involving carbon nanotubes and polymer dispersants, and also unique antibacterial polymeric nanoparticles. The projects are in collaboration with MIT, a large multinational consumer care product company and also microbiology professors from University of Washington (Seattle) and Imperial College London.
This position performs unique polymer synthesis in support of i) Project A related to novel antimicrobial polymers and their mechanism of kill of multi-drug resistance bacteria like MRSA, VRE and drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and ii) Project B related to unique plant biosensors.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Ph.D. or M.D. in polymers or chemistry or materials science or a closely related field of study. Related experience is highly desirable.
The suitable candidate shall be offered a highly competitive salary, and an intellectually stimulating environment. The Centre for Antimicrobial Bioengineering has about 30 PHD students and postdoctoral fellows working within, with extensive collaborations with U. Washington (Seattle), Imperial College London, MIT, etc.
