NIH T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship-Molecular and Tumor Immunology : Tampa, FL, United States
The Immunology Program at the NCI-designated Comprehensive Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, welcomes applications for the T32 NIH-funded Postdoctoral Fellowships in Tumor Immunology. Trainees will be mentored by funded investigators working on molecular and cellular immune mechanisms related to tolerance or activation against tumor cells, covering both innate and adaptive immunity. Besides cellular and biological immune functions, trainees will learn methods in molecular biology, cloning, gene regulation and signal transduction. Moffitt Cancer Center has a 211 bed cancer hospital dedicated to clinical research, including vaccine and immunotherapy of cancer, and has state-of-the-art core facilities for cell therapy and immunotherapeutics, flow cytometry, proteomics, molecular genomics, in vivo animal imaging.
Only US citizens or Permanent Residents, who have recently graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Immunology or related fields are eligible. Candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in molecular mechanisms regulating immunity against cancer and applications towards cancer treatment. Experience in immune assays, western blotting, gene cloning and molecular techniques is preferred. Applicants who are not US citizens or permanent residents cannot be considered for these positions.
