美国贝勒大学医学院群体遗传学和人类遗传学和基因组学助理博士后职位
The Human Genome Sequencing Center at the Baylor College of Medicine is searching for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our group. The focus of the position will be on utilizing a combination of bioinformatics and experimental approaches to study population genetics and human genetics based on the large-scale data sets produced from the next generation re-sequencing technologies. As the sequencing technologies have evolved quickly enough to survey large fractions of the genomic regions across large number of samples at a much affordable cost, there is a great scientific opportunity to have insightful understanding in various topics of human population genetics and disease etiologies based on deep re-sequencing data sets. This is paving the way for the promised personalized health care in the near future.
The successful candidate will have strong statistical genetics/population genetics training. A background in bioinformatics or computation is desired. In-depth understanding/experience in molecular experimental approaches is advantageous, however not required.
