Postdoc position : Lausanne, Switzerland
The Laboratory of Innate Immunology at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) invites application for a Postdoc Position on
“Intracellular innate immunity”
The ultimate goal of our research is to understand how the immune system detects and eliminates pathogens that are of danger to our organism. Central to this task is a repertoire of pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) that have evolved to detect to the presence of microorganism through the sensing of microbe-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs). In our current projects we aim to better characterize this most proximal event of pathogen-triggered innate immunity in more detail.
Applicants for the Postdoc position should hold a Ph.D. in life sciences with a strong background in biological sciences, biochemistry or a related discipline.
We are looking for talented, creative and enthusiastic candidates with a strong passion for science and research.
The EPFL is one of the two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology. The main campus is located in Lausanne on the shores of Lake Geneva and at the foot of the Alps and as such offers a range of cultural and sporting activities.
Please send your application, letter of motivation (up to one page), CV and the names of 2 referees via email to Prof. Dr. Andrea Ablasser (andrea.ablasser@epfl.ch).
