Responsibilities

The Krishnan Lab is seeking a highly motivated and independent individual for a full-time postdoc in the Genes & Human Disease Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

The Krishnan Lab studies the metabolism of the evolutionary mutant model organism – blind cavefish – to better understand human metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity. We use modern genomic methods like ATAC-seq, Hi-C, RNA-seq, metabolomics etc. to decipher the gene regulatory networks in these fishes.

Qualifications

Candidates are required to have Ph.D. in Biology or a related field and have experience in molecular biology and biochemistry. The individual is also expected to have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
