Position SummaryThe Department of Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks to fill one postdoctoral position on its training grant in environmental biostatistics. The Department has numerous exciting research programs of relevance to environmental health science, including focus areas in genomics and big data, and the postdoctoral scholars funded by this grant span the three disciplines of biostatistics, environmental health science, and environmental epidemiology. The Department is a center of cutting-edge research in statistical science with strong collaborative relationships within the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, ranked /2 nationally. Postdoctoral scholars funded on this grant are free to work with a wide variety of faculty members in biostatistics as primary mentors and to collaborate on research relevant to environmental health science with faculty members throughout the University. Educational RequirementsThe typical successful applicant has a strong quantitative background with a doctorate in biostatistics, statistics, or a related discipline.
Qualifications and ExperienceDue to federally-mandated funded restrictions, the postdoctoral trainee MUST be a US citizen or permanent resident.
