Two postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Feng-Chun Yang, the A.B. Alexander Distinguished Chair in Cancer Research and Professor, Mays Cancer Center, the Department of Cell Systems & Anatomy, Long School of Medicine, UT Health Center San Antonio. Dr. Yang’s Lab is performing a cutting-edge research project to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying epigenetic alteration mediated myeloid malignancies, with a specific focus of ASXL1, ASXL2 and PHF6 gene mutations.
The successful applicant should have a strong background in molecular and cellular biology, and biochemistry or related fields. Applicants with experience in stem cell biology or who are familiar with bioinformatic tools (particularly next generation sequencing data analysis) are encouraged. The positions are funded by grants from NIH. San Antonio is a dynamic and multicultural city with a relatively low cost-of-living and an outstanding cultural and educational environment.
