The Bionanoscience Laboratory at UCD has developed a set of novel superparamagnetic microparticles for the separation of high value biomolecules from complex matrices. This Enterprise Ireland funded postdoctoral fellowship will focus on the development and optimisation of diagnostic assays based onthese superparamagnetic particles as described in the articles below. This will include testing of antibodies and analytes for purity, bioconjugation of antibodies for the separation and detection of specific biomolecules with our industrial partners.

This post is for an enthusiastic Biochemist who will provide bioanalytical expertise to the Bionanoscience group combining exciting research of high academic standard with application of research findings in the field.The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry,and have a demonstrated ability to use a range of bioanalytical characterization techniques including Elisa and magnetic bead assays. The candidate must be a highly flexible, results oriented, independent self-starter.

Salary: €33,975 – €41,181 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent on relevant experience.
