Job Description
A Postdoctoral Research Associate (RA) is sought to assist in designing and developing a framework for model-based security management of distributed computing systems.
This is an up to 3 year postdoctoral opportunity for PhD holders in Computer Science/Engineering. The position will start in the 1st June 2015. The source of funding requires that the Postdoctoral Research Associate (RA) relocate to Starkville, Mississippi (Mississippi State University) for the duration of the project.
Required Qualifications:
* Candidate must hold a PhD in Computer Science/Engineering. Candidate should have research experience records in one or more of the following research area:
- Cyber security
- Management of distribute computing systems
- Performance modeling and evaluation of distributed systems
- High performance computing platforms and Hadoop.
- A record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific conferences.
- Strong programming skills using high-level programming languages such as Java, C, and C++ in a Unix/Linux computing environment are required. Expertise with scripting languages is also required. Experience with grid computing is highly desirable.
