Job Description
A postdoctoral position is available for an ambitious and productive applicant to investigate the immune responses elicited by commensal and infectious microbiota in the context of rheumatic diseases. The position is available in the Laboratory of Dr. Shahla Abdollahi-Roodsaz embedded in the Microbiome Center for Rheumatology and Autoimmunity (MiCRA) at NYU. We use transgenic mice and human intestinal biopsies and apply advanced sequencing and mucosal immunology techniques, arthritis models, multicolor flow cytometry and microscopy to identify the (T- cell) immune responses and the upstream cells and receptors involved in the disease. Join our team to enjoy a highly translational research approach, the outstanding training opportunities and state-of-the-art research resources offered by the NYU.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. degree in immunology, rheumatology or a related discipline, experience with animal models, and a strong scientific background apparent from publication record. Previous experience with multicolor flow cytometry and molecular biology is preferred. |
