英国约翰英纳斯中心招聘植物生物学博士后研究员
Applications are invited for a Post Doctoral Researcher to join the Laboratory of Prof. Giles Oldroyd in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the John Innes Centre. The aim of this research is to expand our knowledge of the signalling processes associated with rhizobial colonisation of the plant.
Applicants are expected to have a PhD in plant biology or related field and an advanced knowledge of plant molecular genetics with a high quality publication history. This project will focus on defining the dynamics of cytokinin and auxin signalling in initiating cortical responses and characterising the mechanisms of hormonal induction of nodule organogenesis.
A background in plant microbe interactions, particularly the molecular genetics of symbiosis signalling is desirable. Knowledge of the hormonal regulation of plant development is also essential, in particular the hormonal control of nodule development. Experience in the mechanisms of signal transduction, plant biochemistry and molecular genetics is also desirable.
Salary on appointment will be within the range £29,500 to £36,060 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. This post is for a contract of 3 years.
