Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Chemistry) : Boston, MA, United States

A postdoctoral research opportunity is available in synthetic chemistry at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The primary focus of the research in the laboratory is in the application of photodynamic therapy (PDT) to a variety of diseases, and the basic strategy is to develop mechanism and imaging-based targeted agents for therapy and detection. Candidates with strong backgrounds in organic chemistry, biomolecular conjugations, and characterization are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with cell culture and/or animal studies is desirable. This opportunity will support career growth and will encompass learning a large number of biological and optical techniques, participation in group seminars, and grant writing. Candidate must be energetic and enthusiastic about lab work and flexible in working with multiple projects.

Minimum Requirement: PhD in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or a related field
