A Postdoctoral Research Assistant position is available in Dr Dragana Ahel’s group at the Dunn School of Pathology. The main research area of the laboratory is studying mechanisms of genome stability and the role they play in cancer and human disease (http://www.path.ox.ac.uk/research/cell-biology-and-pathology/dragana-ahel-group). The Dunn School focuses on the cell biology that underlies human disease and provides a first class research environment.

We re looking to appoint an ambitious and independent postdoc who is keen to join our work in this exciting area. Applicants should have a PhD in Biology or Biochemistry or a related subject, and have high level of competence in in general molecular biology techniques, cell biology, protein biochemistry or genetics. Experience in the area of DNA repair and DNA replicaton would be an advantage.

The post is available as a fixed-term contract for 2 years in the first instance, with possible extension
