For our newly opened Drug Discovery Branch in Freiburg i. Br., we are offering a postdoctoral position for a Medicinal or Bioorganic Chemist (m/f) with a minimum experience of 2‑4 years to join our R&D laboratory.

The ideal candidate will have profound hands-on experience in bioconjugation including the synthesis of protein-binding drugs with emphasis on linker chemistry and an in-depth knowledge of conjugation methods as well as the characterization of drug-protein conjugates. Experience with chromatographic techniques (analytical and preparative HPLC) is a requirement as well as state-of-the-art characterization of organic compounds. MS Office, SciFinder, ChemDraw, and Origin have routinely been used.

We are offering this position for a two-year period with the option of being promoted to a fully employed scientist.

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Syntheses and isolation of new drug candidates
• Protein modification and drug conjugation
