A postdoc position will be immediately available at the Department of Dermatology, University Medical Center Freiburg. This German Research Foundation funded project (CRC 850) will focus on the role of the epidermal adhesion molecule collagen XVII in carcinogenesis and invasion. It will include the usage of a novel mouse model and several state-of-the-art cell biological systems.

Successful candidates will have an excellent track record and will be highly motivated with a strong background in cancer biology, cell biology or pathophysiology. First-author publication(s) in international peer-reviewed journals, experience with laboratory mice and confocal fluorescence microscopy will be highly regarded. Analytical thinking, the capability to develop and optimize new methods as well as excellent communication and team player skills are essential. The position is funded for three years and successful candidates will initially be appointed for one year.

The position is financed according to the German public wage law (TVL-E13). The main working language in our laboratory is English. Applications should include a CV, list of publications, letter of motivation, copy of graduation certificates (university), and addresses of two referees.
