I am looking for a person who would be interested to apply with me for EU Marie Sklodowska-Curie postdoctoral position. I have a fantastic project, which was ranked top 10% by the European Research Council, the most prestigious and the most competitive funding body in Europe.
The project aims to figure out how vertebrates are adapting their body size to the environment. It has a clear pediatric-related clinical implication (growth disorders) and focuses much on development and function of skeletal system.
It includes a lot of work with transgenic mice, fishes, cell cultures all types of molecular biology techniques.
Candidate requirements: You have to be in the end of your PhD education or early postdoc. There are two main criteria for successful application for Marie Sklodowska-Curie – project and the applicant. The applicant is evaluated based on his/her previous achievements. Accordingly, you need to have a paper as the first author in a prestigious journal like PNAS or at least two papers in reasonable subject specific journals. Previous knowledge in the field is not required.
The position will take place in my laboratory, which is located in the heart of the Karolinska Institutet campus, Stockholm Sweden. Karolinska Institutet (KI) ranks as one of the world’s leading medical universities, thanks in part to the quality of its research activities, which today account for 40 per cent of all medical research in Sweden. In addition, KI annually awards the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
