Full Position in Molecular Plant Research
for 3 years as a start with a possibility of prolongation for additional 2 years. In agreement with the current regulations, the position is on the TV-H E13 scale (100%) for public employees.
The position offers possibility for scientific qualification and a German habilitation. The position also is connected with teaching duties in international master courses (Biotechnology and Plant Science) and requires some involvement in the institute’s administration responsibilities (www.uni.giessen.de/ipaz).

Your program:
Research topics related to molecular phytopathology, plant science and plant biotechnology. Candidates are invited to propose their own research project within the range of these fields. Highly welcomed are topics related to links between plant immunity and epigenetic alterations in the plant genome. Proposals should also emphasize application possibilities for sustainable agriculture.

Your profile:
This position requires a PhD in either of the subject microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, plant pathology or a related field of study that has equipped the applicant with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the fundamental research in plant science.
