摘要:
Our aim is to investigate the role of procoagulant and proinflammatory mechanisms in formation and progression of atherosclerotic plaque and precipitate disease triggered by plaque rupture. The project is supervised and supported by a collaborative grant of Profs. Thomas Renné, Göran Hansson & Lars Maegdefessel within the Center of Excellence for Research on Inflammation and Cardiovascular disease of the Karolininska Institutet (CERIC). The application is open for a highly motivated scientist with a strong background in experimental vascular biomedicine and expertise in thrombosis and arteriosclerosis models in mice. For further information please see the CERIC web page www.ceric.se and our recent publications: Larsson, M. et al. Sci Transl Med 6, 222ra17 (2014); Gisterå A. et al. Sci Transl Med. 5, 196ra100 (2013) and Maegdefessel L. et al. J Clin Invest. 122, 497-506 (2012). The groups have established state of the art technologies including transgene mouse models to study plaque formation, rupture and thrombosis. We have access to clinical material and advanced experimental imaging facilities. The applicant needs to have strong competence in running projects independently but also having good abilities for team-work and cooperation within a dynamic group of international scientists with broad expertise in cardiovascular biomedicine.

Entry requirements
A doctoral degree within the area of biomedical research or corresponding foreign degree is required. A person is eligible for a postdoc position if he/she has obtained a PhD not more than seven years before the last date of employment as postdoc.
•The applicant needs to have a strong background in cardiovascular mouse models with focus on atherothrombosis.
•Expertise in molecular and cellular techniques and a documented research experience in vascular biology are required.
•A publication track record in international refereed journals and competitive grant intake is a merit.
•The applicant will be evaluated based on education and previous experience, relevance for the project, grant intake and track records, motivation and cooperative ability. Personal suitability is also an important criterion.

Application process
An employment application must contain the following documents in English or Swedish:
1.A personal letter and complete curriculum vitae, including date of the thesis defence, title of the thesis, previous academic positions, academic title, current position, academic distinctions, and committee work
2.A complete list of publications
3.A brief summary of present and previous work with emphasis on arterothrombosis research in animal models (no more than two pages)
4.Verifications for crediting of illness, military service, work for labour unions or student organisations, parental leave or similar circumstances
5.Verification from the thesis defence committee or the equivalent (only if the thesis defence is scheduled within three months after the application deadline)
6.Letters of recommendation and two refences including phone/e-mail

The application is to be submitted on the NetRecruiter system.
