Postdoc Researcher (m/f)

RESEARCH FOCUS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

A postdoctoral scientist position is available at the Institute of Clinical Radiology at the University Hospital of Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) in Munich, Germany. Our interdisciplinary team of clinical radiologists, epidemiologists, medical students, study nurses and scientific project managers is currently investigating the prevalence of sub-clinical cardiovascular disease burden by whole-body MRI as part of a large cohort study. We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record and a PhD in Biology / Biochemistry / Epidemiology / Health Sciences / Statistics or similar to coordinate MRI data analysis and database transfer and to actively participate in development and publishing of any relevant scientific findings arising from this study. This position will require close interaction with ourcollaborators at the German Research Center for Environmental Health, Helmholtz Zentrum Munich.

REQUIREMENTS:

- You hold a PhD in natural sciences and have a strong interest in biomedical and/or epidemiological reseach.
- You have experience in working as part of an interdisciplary, collaborative reasearch team and in supervising students.
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong publication record.
- You are fluent in English. Proficiency in German is an advantage.
- You are familiar with database management systems and statistical analysis software (such as Microsoft Access and SAS).
- You are thorough, well-organized, and highly efficient.
- You are self-motivated and proactive and able to work well as part of a team.
