The Division of Translational Oncology in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering is seeking a highly motivated postdoc researcher with a computational biology/bioinformatics background to join our team.
Our research focus is in understanding the molecular bases for response to cancer therapy and applying scientific findings towards clinical treatment plans, with a focus on radiation therapy and DNA damage. The candidate is expected to develop methods for integrative analysis of clinical and genomic data. Projects will involve analysis and interpretation of clinical sequencing data, particularly with an eye towards molecular diagnostics. This is a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary environment; good communication, project management, and organizational skills are a must.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold a PhD in genetics, bioinformatics, computer science, or related field. Publications in well-regarded peer-reviewed journals are expected. Programming experience in Unix-based systems is required and familiarity with scripting (e.g. Perl or Python) and R/Bioconductor is a plus.
