Postdoc in Neurobiology at TIGEM : Naples, Italy

A post-doctoral position is open is Dr. Decressac's lab at TIGEM.

We are looking for experienced neurobiologist to perform in vitro reprogramming of patient's cells. We have developed unique tools to induce very efficiency conversion of human fibroblasts into dopamine neurons. This approach will be used by the candidate to 1) study the disease mechanisms, (2) perform high-content screening of drugs and other libraries and, (3) examine cell replacement therapy in animal models of Parkinson's disease.

The post-doc candidate is expected to have a PhD in neuroscience with good skills in cell culture, in particular stem cells. Expertise in cloning, molecular biology, work in vivo with animal models is recommended. At least 1 publications must support some of these skills in order for the application to be considered.

The post-doc will perform this research at the new TIGEM institute in Pozzuoli.
The contract is initially for 2 years with possible extension….
