新加坡基因组研究员招聘癌症干细胞生物学博士后
Postdoctoral Fellows (Cancer Stem Cell Biology) : Singapore, Singapore
The Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS) is the national flagship program for genomic sciences in Singapore. The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is the parent funding body for the GIS with a long-term commitment to create world-class R&D infrastructure.
The GIS seeks to use biomedical sciences to improve public health and prosperity. As a center for genomic discovery, the GIS pursues the integration of technology, genetics and biology to address high impact biomedical research. In particular, we apply genomic approaches to gain fundamental and translational insights into human diseases, infectious diseases, cancer biology and therapeutics, and stem cells and regenerative biology.
The Cancer Stem Cell Biology Program is currently recruiting Postdoctoral Fellows, Research Officers and Graduate Students.
Positions for Postdoctoral Fellows are available in the Cancer Stem Cell Biology Laboratory at GIS. The laboratory is broadly interested in understanding the contributions of cancer stem cells to malignant cancer progression. We focus on dissecting the distinctive properties of cancer stem cells in various carcinomas, and exploit these traits as vulnerabilities towards the development of targeted cancer therapies. The candidate will engage in cutting-edge, high-impact cancer research that will bridge the fundamental, translational and clinical sciences, and will have the opportunity to work closely with clinicians.
Applicants must have relevant training in the field of biomedical sciences. Prior experience in cancer, stem cell, animal models or translational research is highly desirable. Candidates are expected to be highly motivated, creative, and strongly enthusiastic in addressing challenging problems in the field of cancer.
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or other relevant disciplines from internationally renowned Institutions or Universities
• Excellent track record of scientific achievement and demonstrated creative abilities
Interested candidates are invited to send a cover letter stating your research goals, curriculum vitae, and the contact details of at least three references to Wai Leong Tam (tamwl@gis.a-star.edu.sg or tamwl@wi.mit.edu).
Please kindly note that only shortlisted candidates will be notified….
