A postdoctoral position is currently available within the group of Feliciano Giustino in the Department of Materials at the University of Oxford, to work on the development of computational methods for performing quasiparticle GW calculations. This position is for 6 months starting on 1 July 2014, and is part of the ERC Starting Grant project “ALIGN: ab-initio computational modelling of photovoltaic interfaces”.

Candidates should have (by the start date) a doctorate in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science with a strong emphasis on first-principles electronic-structure methods. In addition candidates should be proficient in the development of software for GW quasiparticle calculations

The successful candidate will join the Oxford Materials Modelling Laboratory. High-performance computing resources will be available through the Materials Modelling Laboratory and the Oxford Supercomputing Centre.
