美国亚利桑那大学斯第勒儿童研究中心招聘博士后助理研究员
Post-doctoral positions are available in the NIH-funded Kiela-Ghishan laboratory in the Department of Pediatrics, Steele Children’s Research Center at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. We are using murine models to examine the cellular and molecular interactions by which mucosal dendritic cells direct adaptive immune responses in murine models of autoimmune diseases, with a particular emphasis on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). We also investigate the inter-relationship between intestinal inflammation, epithelial ion transport, and microbial dysbiosis.
The candidate hired for the position will use an array of cellular and molecular approaches (ELISA/xMAP, cell isolation, flow cytometry, histology, cell culture, microarray and transcriptome analysis, qPCR, next-generation sequencing, as well as, animal models of autoimmunity, especially IBD). The candidate will also be expected to formulate, execute, and communicate research projects.
We are looking for highly motivated and creative candidates with a recent Ph.D. in immunobiology and experience with murine models. Training in multi-color flow cytometry, magnetic and flow cell sorting, fluorescent imaging, and/or cellular immunology is preferred.
Qualifications: Requirements include a recent Ph.D. and/or M.D. in Immunology or other cell biology- related fields (preferably including immunology training). Ph.D.s graduated within two years are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates should be highly motivated with an outstanding publication record (at least one first-author research paper published in peer-reviewed international journal) and with high work ethics. Candidates are required to have a strong research background in cellular immunology, biochemistry, and mouse models of autoimmunity, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills in English
