摘要:
A postdoctoral position to study the role of lncRNAs in alternative splicing regulation is available at the group of Reini Luco at the Institut de Génétique Humaine in Montpellier, in the South of France.
Description
Luco’s lab works on the role of epigenetics and long non-coding RNAs in the regulation of cell-specific alternative splicing (for more details see Luco et al., Science 2010 and Luco et al., Cell 2011). The project will be focused on the role of lncRNAs, and in particular natural antisense RNAs (NATs), in the establishment and maintenance of a new cell-specific alternative splicing program. High-throughput and classical molecular and cell biology approaches will be used to identify novel lncRNA splicing regulators and to depict their molecular mechanisms of action in a human cell reprogramming system. We look for a very motivated, hard-working and creative candidate with strong background in molecular biology and non-coding RNAs,The IGH hosts very dynamic and cutting-edge teams in a variety of disciplines that will expand the expertise and knowledge of the candidate. Moreover Montpellier is a beautiful and very cultural city nearby the Mediterranean Sea, close to Paris and Barcelona and in between the Alps and the Pyrénées.
