新西兰国家水与大气研究所浮游动物生态学博士后职位
NIWA is a dynamic research organisation whose purpose is to enhance the economic value and sustainable management of New Zealand's aquatic resources and environments, to provide understanding of climate and the atmosphere and increase resilience to weather and climate hazards to improve safety and wellbeing of New Zealanders.
We are seeking an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to drive research on the ecological role of zooplankton in New Zealand coastal and open ocean regions, and the Ross Sea sector of the Southern Ocean. The post holder will analyse existing zooplankton data, undertake spatial-environment modelling of zooplankton distributions, develop zooplankton time-series measurements, use of zooplankton data as an ecosystem indicator for national-level “state of the environment” reporting, and undertake experimental and modelling-based research on factors affecting the transfer of energy from phytoplankton to zooplankton in open ocean and coastal marine food webs.
