Postdoctoral Neuroscience Research Positions
UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA-IRVINE

UC Irvine offers Postdoctoral Fellowships in Epilepsy Research for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents.

The multidisciplinary program supports diverse approaches to (1) understanding the fundamental neurobiological processes leading to epilepsy (2) translational research.

Participating laboratories include:
Tallie Z. Baram, MD, PhD: Epigenetics, microRNA, in vivo electrophysiology, mechanisms of epileptogenesis
Steven Cramer, MD: Functional imaging and robotics for identification and cure of excitotoxic and ischemic insults
Christine M. Gall, PhD: Neurotrophins, integrins, activity-dependent plasticity
Alan L. Goldin, MD, PhD: Sodium channels, transgenic approaches, electrophysiology
Claudia Kawas, MD: Dementia and memory disorders, geriatric neurology, epidemiology
Jack Lin, MD: Epilepsy & cognitive problems, Imaging, DTI, human studies
Gary Lynch, PhD: Regulation of excitability and synaptic function and plasticity
Daniele Piomelli, PhD: Functions of lipid-derived signaling molecules in physiological and pathological regulation
Paolo Sassone-Corsi, PhD: Clock neurons and circadian rhythms, epigenetics
Ivan Soltesz, PhD: Electrophysiology, computational neurobiology, interneurons and inhibition
Oswald Steward, PhD: mRNA translation at synapses-role in activity-dependent synaptic plasticity
John Weiss, MD, PhD: Calcium and zinc trafficking, excitotoxicity
Marcelo Wood, PhD: Learning and memory and epilepsy, epigenetics
Xiangmin Xu, PhD: Cortical inhibitory interneuron networks: novel imaging
