意大利理工学院纳米物理学系微流控光技术博士后职位

A postdoctoral position is available in the Nanophysics department at the Italian Institute of Technology to work on the development of optofluidic technology for lab-on-a-chip applications.

The aim of our group is to engineer next generation lab-on-a-chip (LOC) devices by combining light and microfluidics. In particular, our research focuses on light-methods for micro and nanofabrication, on the photo-actuation of fluids as well as the integration of novel imaging and sensing systems in LOC devices.

The postdoctoral researcher will be given the opportunity to participate in the different research lines of the group and will be expected to give a strong contribution to the group’s research efforts.

Requirements

Applicants should have a solid background and good experimental skills in lasers, optics or microfluidics,and should be strongly motivated and keen to work in an interdisciplinary research field. Previous experience in fluidics or optics simulations (CFD, FDTD …) would be an asset. Understanding of properties of metamaterials is positively evaluated.

Essentials qualifications for this position include a PhD in physics, chemistry, engineering, materials science or closely related disciplines.
