Position and Requirements
We are looking for a talented postdoc scientist to develop bottom-up nanowire based transistors and transducers. The postdoc project is embedded in the Silicon Nanowire Path.
The work of this position will focus on the conception, bottom-up nano-fabrication and electrical characterisation of nanowire based transistors as building blocks for reconfigurable logic and sensing applications. Based on the running integration route for reconfigurable silicon nanowire transistors and transducers the postdoc will be responsible of establishing reliable and reproducible processes route for sub-10 nm nanowire diameters.
We aim at attracting the best talent in the respective research fields and expect the following: an outstanding PhD degree (or equivalent) in physics, electronics, materials science or related field of science; extensive knowledge of modern semiconductor devices; extensive experience in bottom-up nanowire fabrication nano- fabrication of transistors / transducers; detailed expertise in electrical characterization of modern semiconductor devices; outstanding academic performance as measured in published first-authored scientific articles; ability to work in an international team is essential; inter- and multidisciplinary thinking; high motivation and interest to join one of the most ambitious interdisciplinary research clusters; an integrative and cooperative personality with excellent communication and social skills; fluency in English – written and oral
What we offer
You will join a team of enthusiastic scientists who creatively pursue their individual research agenda inspired by the cluster's innovative approach and support. Your postdoc-research will be fostered by the cfaed philosophy to promote young researches which includes: access to state of the art research of leading academic institutes; international postgraduate program; individual supervision by an Advisory Committee; possibility to earn (seed) grants of up to € 10.000; promotion of gender equality and family-friendly work environment.
Applications from women are particularly welcome. The same applies to people with disabilities.
