The laboratory of Dr. Troy Ghashghaei is seeking dynamic, highly motivated, goal oriented, and hardworking postdoctoral fellows or research associates with strong interest in developmental neurobiology. The successful candidate must possess past training in experimental approaches using current cellular, molecular, and genetic mouse models. Preference will be given to individuals with documented experience with in utero electroporation and ex vivo preparations and imaging of embryonic brain tissue. The successful applicant will immediately become involved with exciting projects addressing mechanisms underlying cell cycle dynamics and asymmetric cell division, lineage progression, and niche-cell interactions in vivo and in vitro. The fellows will have access to state-of-the-art tools with the possibility of developing their own. Applicants must have, or will very soon obtain a PhD in cell and molecular biology, developmental biology, or related fields.

The successful applicant will join a vibrant and productive group of researchers in an NIH funded laboratory at the Center for Comparative Medicine and Translational Research at the North Carolina College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh. The center, college and the laboratory are part of the Research Triangle Park which is a premier and highly dynamic area for biomedical research.
