Your mission
The role will primarily consist of independently coordinating and completing novel scientific research. This opening is particularly focused on microglia biology after exposure to ionizing radiation in vivo and in vitro. The ideal candidate is expected to take over, maintain, and develop an ongoing research program aimed at revealing basic mechanisms of neuroinflammation arising from treatment of childhood brain tumours.
Your profile
Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has the equivalent scientific competence. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent. The applicant should skilled in animal handling, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, stereological quantification of cells in tissue sections, RNA sequencing (bulk and single cell), FACS and qPCR. Writing grant applications and drafting manuscripts is an integral part of the job.
