Epigenetics Postdoctoral Associate at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NY
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral associate to conduct research on genetics and epigenetics of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Our research is focused on identifying mechanisms and pathways that influence disease pathophysiology. We will focus on extracting primary cells from human tissues to define epigenetic factors contributing to IBDdevelopment, define functional consequences of IBD-associated polymorphisms and for biomarker and therapeutic development. 
The postdoctoral associate will focus on epigenomics, utilizing cell culture and genomics for immune analysis, and perform ChIP-seq experiments from human intestinal cells. The postdoc will serve as a dedicated investigator of one or more research projects.
Candidates should have a PhD in one of the following disciplines: Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Cell Biology. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Some expertise with computational analysis (R, Perl, C++, Statistics packages, etc.), and/or experience with immune cell profiling, and immune monitoring assays are preferred. 
Qualified candidates should possess strong communication skills, creativity, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently. 
Required qualifications:
• PhD degree in an appropriate area. 
• Documented experience in either Molecular genetics and/or Biochemistry and/or bioinformatics
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English
