摘要:

Postdoctoral fellow position in iPSC research : New York, United States

A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Eirini Papapetrou M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor, at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. The lab harnesses cellular reprogramming and genome editing technologies to develop models of hematologic disorders based on human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Current projects in the lab focus on new iPSC models of Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and use genetic and chemical screens. The position offers excellent opportunities for publications and career development in a stimulating working environment.

Highly motivated individuals with a strong background and interest in translational stem cell and/or hematopoiesis/hematology research and with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced lab are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be recent Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. graduates in cell biology, molecular biology, cancer biology, molecular genetics, developmental biology or related fields. Prior experience in culture of human pluripotent stem cells and/or primary hematopoietic cells, as well as a track record of peer-reviewed publications is required. Background in at least one of the following: molecular biology, lentiviral vector construction and production, mouse work or bioinformatics are strongly desired.
