A postdoctoral associate position (post-doctoral) is available in the Laboratory of Dr. Emi Shimizu at the Department of Basic Science and Craniofacial Biology of NYU College of Dentistry. This position focuses on role of ephrin/Eph interaction during tooth development using mouse models. In addition, another project I have been working on tooth regeneration and dentin repair using oral stem cells.
Candidates should hold Ph.D with expertise in a broad range of molecular biology, bone biology (hard tissues) or oral embryology. Candidates should have expertise in RNA extraction, real time-PCR, Western blot, immunohistochemistry, mouse mating and genotyping. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Ph.D in appropriate field awarded no more than five (5) years from initial date of postdoctoral appointment.
