Job Description
A post-doctoral position is immediately available in synthetic biology. This project aims at designing and engineering genetically encoded multi-enzymatic systems as advanced biomanufacturing platforms for in vitro and in vivo biocatalysis. Approaches used in this project include molecular biology/genetic engineering, protein design and engineering, bioinformatics and chemical analytical methods (LC- and GC/MS).
Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Chemical Biology or a related field. Skills in synthetic biology, genetic and protein engineering, biocatalysis and analytical chemistry are desirable. Suitable candidates should be highly self-motivated, have a strong desire to learn new skills, excellent communication skills, and very good organizational and time management skills. Preference will be given to applicants who have a strong publication record in high quality peer reviewed journals.
