Postdoctoral Positions in Cancer, Stem Cell, and Developmental Biology : New York, NY, United States
Funded positions are available in the Shen laboratory to investigate the molecular mechanisms of cellular differentiation in prostate and bladder organogenesis and tumorigenesis, as well as the regulation of pluripotency and differentiation in embryonic stem cells and in mouse embryonic development. We are seeking highly-motivated applicants with a commitment to excellence for studies in the following areas:
1) Prostate organogenesis, regeneration, and tumorigenesis in mouse models, focusing on the roles of prostate epithelial stem cells and the cell of origin for prostate cancer.
2) Bladder organogenesis and tumorigenesis in mouse models and human organoids.
3) Molecular and systems analyses of pluripotency and lineage-specific differentiation in embryonic stem cells and epiblast stem cells, as well as during peri-gastrulation stages of mouse embryogenesis.
Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. degree with a strong background in cancer research, developmental biology, and/or stem cell biology. Expertise with mouse models, embryology, cellular reprogramming, organoid culture, imaging, and/or genomic analyses would be advantageous.
To apply, please send a curriculum vitae, a detailed description of research experience and future interests, and the names of three references to:
