DNA double-strand break repair/cell cycle checkpoint control and the relevance to cancer
Postdoctoral positions are open at The Scripps Research Institute, the leading institute for biomedical research in USA, located in the sunny San Diego County. Research focuses on the mechanisms of DNA double-strand break repair and cell cycle checkpoint control in mammalian cells. Both biological and biochemical approaches will be used. New mouse models are utilized to study the maintenance of genome stability and its relevance to the prevention of cancer and aging. Postdoctoral applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with strong background in molecular biology. The applicants should be highly motivated and enthusiastic about research, and be able to work effectively.
