The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine of the Weill Cornell Medical College is seeking candidates for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Associate in stroke research in the laboratory of Dr. Teresa Sanchez, PhD, (Center for Vascular Biology) to study the signaling pathways that regulate cerebrovascular responses to ischemia-reperfusion injury. The candidate must have experience in mouse surgery and mouse models of ischemic and/or hemorrhagic stroke such as the middle cerebral artery occlusion technique. Our research team studies the signaling pathways involved in the regulation of vascular responses to ischemic and inflammatory injury. We routinely use molecular and cellular biology approaches, as well as mouse models of vascular injury. The candidate will join a dynamic research team and will have the opportunity to conduct both basic and translational research in the stroke and vascular biology fields. 
Applicants must have recently obtained a PhD in Neuroscience/Cardiovascular Research and have publications in stroke research.
