美国西北大学人类电生理学方向博士后职位
Postdoctoral Researcher : Chicago, IL, United States
Postdoctoral Position in Human Electrophysiology : Northwestern University, Chicago, USA
We are seeking to fill two funded postdoctoral positions in human electrophysiology in the labs of Dr. Jay Gottfried and Dr. Christina Zelano at Northwestern University in Chicago. Our research focuses on olfactory system processing to gain unique insights into limbic physiology and function, with an emphasis on sensory perception, emotion, learning, and memory. The postdoc positions will primarily involve acquiring intracranial EEG and local field potential data in human patients and analyzing these data in Matlab or similar software packages. While a main goal is to elucidate coding and connectivity of the human olfactory system, and its functional interactions with cognitive networks, research experience working with odor stimuli is not at all necessary. To apply for the position please send a CV, research statement, and names and contacts of three references to Jay Gottfried at j-gottfried@northwestern.edu. Candidates should have a PhD in neuroscience, psychology, engineering, computer science, or related fields. Training in EEG, ECoG, or MEG signal processing analysis is highly preferred. Training in fMRI and/or computational neuroscience is also desirable. The most competitive candidates should have programming expertise, solid quantitative and analytical skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills in English. The successful candidate will join a dynamic research environment in the Department of Neurology, which offers both basic and clinical translational opportunities to explore fundamental questions in human cognitive neuroscience. …
