The project scope include 1) derivation of governing equations in heat/mass transfer and multiphase flow, 2) numerical modeling of ash deposition/fouling mechanism, 3) computation of tube/fin surface temperatures of associated heat exchangers, and 4) validity/compliance check with references/ standards. He/she will disseminate/present the research results in journals, reports, conferences, and meetings. He/she will provide mentoring for graduate/undergraduate students in the Thermal Engineering Laboratory under the Principal Investigator at Arkansas State University.
