A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. Our research primarily focuses on the regulation of renal salt transport and blood pressure by kinases. More recently, we developed a new model of chronic kidney disease, and are looking to expand into this area.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the assessment of renal injury and relevant signaling pathways, but training opportunities in renal ion transport physiology are also available.

Our group employs a wide variety of techniques including whole animal physiology, cell culture and biochemical approaches; experience with cell culture and signaling assays is desirable.

The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, and will be expected to assist in study design and analysis, present research findings at conferences, and compose manuscripts.

This position is funded by an NIH training program and requires U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
