Description

The research will involve studies to optimise expression and export of high-value proteins by the Tat protein export system in bacteria. Recent studies have shown that this is a novel means of exporting refolded biotherapeutics to the periplasm, and the project involves a collaboration between the Universities of Kent, Birmingham and Sheffield to create and validate a new generation of bacterial cell factories.
