摘要:
A post-doctoral research position is available immediately in the Brain Tumor Center and Department of Neurosurgery at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. The position involves basic research in the areas of glial and glioma cell biology and the use of mouse models to study how these cell types control angiogenesis in the brain. The post-doc will be mentored and trained in the generation of genetically engineered mouse models, xenograft models, and in vitro co-culture systems to study cell adhesion and signaling pathways involved in brain development and cancer.
All applicants should have a PhD and/or MD and have peer-reviewed first author publications in internationally recognized journals. A strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry and mouse genetic models is preferred but not necessary.
The M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is centered in the vibrant research environment of the Houston Texas Medical Center, which includes Baylor College of Medicine, The University of Texas Medical School, Texas Heart Institute, and Rice University. The current position will involve close collaborations with Rice University researchers.
