Research will be carried out to study the molecular mechanisms of stem cells in the heart. The lab uses a combination of cellular, molecular, pathology and mouse model approaches. Research experiments for stem cell projects include DNA cloning, real‐time PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, immunohistochemistry staining, image acquirement with fluorescent and/or confocal microscopes, and stem cell analysis by FACS. Organize and analyze data, assist in the development of new projects in stem cells. Prepare written reports and documents pertaining to data management, research methodology, and study results. Perform library research and related duties as assigned. Position will require occasional work at off hours for stem cells (i.e., weekends). Candidates should have critical thinking abilities, proven written and oral English skills, and be highly motivated to be a creative member of a research team. A commitment to research excellence and integrity and a strong desire to make difference in research is desired. Prior experience and familiarity with molecular biology, stem cell research, and/or pathology techniques are highly desirable. …
