摘要:
Columbia University Medical Center Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Stem Cell Transplantation has a full time Postdoctoral Research Scientist position available to work in the laboratory of the Division Chief. We seek a senior level person with existing epigenetics research experience. He/she will be responsible for identifying and validating epigenetic vulnerabilities in a variety of cancers, with the goal of identifying novel epigenetic targeting therapeutic strategies. The candidate will be expected to work semi-independently, and provide mentorship for more junior lab members. As such, he/she is expected to have prior epigenetics research experience, including a strong cell and molecular biology background, including assessment of epigenetic modifications. Motivated candidates with a publication record demonstrating the potential to develop an independent research career are preferred.
Requires a Ph.D in the physical or biological sciences, or a related field.
At least 3-5 years of laboratory research experience with publications documenting experience. Must have prior research experience in epigenetics research, including ChIP-PCR and ChIP-seq analysis of histone modifications.
Must be detail-oriented and organized. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a full background check prior to a final offer of employment being made.
