The researcher will study the electrophysiological properties of human stem-cell derived neurons and will look for disease specific changes in engineered neuronal tissues (ENTs) made from patients suffering from neurodegenerative conditions.

Description

The appointed researcher working at the University of Szeged in Hungary will be part of the EC funded Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways project STEMMAD. The project focuses on generation of patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) which can be used as in vitro neural cell models that will ultimately allow for customized treatment. The post is for 1 year with a possibility of 1 year extension.
