The project will be conducted within the framework of a Science Foundation Ireland funded research which aims to create novel plasmonic enhanced photonic devices for ICT applications.

Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant topic in the area of nanophotonics or plasmonics. Ideally the candidate should have computational and experimental experience. Finite element modelling and/ or finite difference time domain modelling tools will be used for design and study of plasmonic nanostructures.  The modelling will be used to design and select structures for fabrication. The candidate should have experience of fabrication and characterization of nanophotonic systems.
