美国加州大学洛杉矶分校计算材料科学博士后职位
We have an immediate opening for postdoctoral scholars in the area of computational material science, with a focus on the engineering and industrial properties of glasses and cementitious materials. Specific problems of interest include but are not limited to: mechanical properties, fracture, creep, aging, surface reactivity, relaxation, and their relation to structure and composition. The candidate will work in the group of Prof. Bauchy at UCLA, in strong collaboration with computational and experimentalist students/postdocs/faculty in the department.
A Ph.D. in physics, chemistry, condensed matter, material science, civil/mechanical/chemical engineering, or a related area, and expertise in atomistic or mesoscale simulation methods and scientific programming, are required, as well as a capacity for world-class research that is reflected in a publication record. The following qualifications or attributes are desirable: (a) Ph.D. degree from a reputable university in a closely related thematic area and an interest in pursuing a research career, (b) a fundamental understanding of concepts of chemistry, mathematics, and computer methods, and (c) interest in working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary research environment.
