Postdoctoral Fellowship - Novel Drug Delivery Research, Lipid/Polymer chemist : Tallahassee, FL, United States

Opening exists for one post-doctoral fellow to join a multidiscplinary group of scientists and graduate students to work in the area of Drug Delivery and nanomaterials. The incumbent would be responsible for synthesis and evaluation of novel lipid or polymer based conjugates for application in drug delivery systems for macromolecules for cancer treatment. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree (awarded) in the field of pharmacy, polymeric nanomaterials, nanomaterials science, polymer science or synthetic chemistry with emphasis on nanomaterials. Post-Ph.D experience of at least one year at a research institute or a pharmaceutical company or post doc is preferred. The candidates should have experience in lipid or polymer synthetic chemistry, ligand conjugations, cell culture assays and nanotechnology based formulations in cancer, topical or transdermal area. Our laboratory provides strong support for the development of independent projects leading to a productive career for post-doctoral candidates with successful careers in academia and industry in the US and abroad. The candidate must be highly motivated and capable of working in a team with good interpersonal skill.
Requirements: Candidate having his/her PhD in pharmaceutics, chemistry, polymer science or in relevant area.
He/she Should have strong background and updated knowledge of lipid/polymer synthesis and conjugation of various ligand with lipid/polymer. candidate having experience in drug delivery, topical/transdermal formulation, cancer cell culture, tumor models will be preferred.
